Mathematics

Lasalle’s Mathematics programming utilizes aspects of the Building Thinking Classrooms model, where students engage in critical thinking and collaborative problem-solving using vertical spaces to display and discuss their work. Students are encouraged to challenge themselves by participating in regional and national mathematics competitions, fostering both confidence and a love of learning.

Almost every math course that exists in Ontario high schools is offered at Lasalle. Students have the opportunity to take whatever courses are required to reach their post-secondary goals. In addition, our teachers are committed to helping students achieve their best on the mandatory EQAO Assessment of Grade 9 Mathematics. For students who struggle, or for those who want to polish their skills, help is available in the Math Lab, a drop-in center staffed by math teachers.
