The English Department of Lasalle Secondary School strives to impart an appreciation for reading and writing in all students. By providing skills that easily transfer to real world experiences, students develop confidence and a strong voice when speaking and writing.
In addition, students’ exposure to classic and contemporary works develops their appreciation for the beauty that surrounds them. It is our greatest wish to foster lifelong readers with powerful and practical communication skills. Students develop and share their skills with the community and the world at large through opportunities such as Nanowrimo, Wordstock and The Royal Canadian Legion Contest.

In addition, we are proud to publish our bi-yearly “Lancer Magazine”, which showcases our students’ artistic and literary talents.
